We are looking for an Assistant Early Childhood Educator to be responsible for providing assistance to the Educator in the respective classroom. The Assistant Educator will work closely with the Educator in conducting daily duties such as monitoring of preparing and serving meals, writing daily reports, recording attendance, engaging in play, assisting to put children to sleep, and creating a safe environment.

To be successful as an assistant educator, you must possess a passion for children and exercise patience with them. You should display a friendly and positive attitude and greet parents and children by their name. Ultimately, you should constantly monitor and supervise the children in your care to ensure their safety.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to understand and adhere to the principles of child development and Early Learning educational methods;
  • Must be willing to understand and adhere to the safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms;
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills;
  • Ability to act as a mediator between children and parents;
  • Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable;
  • The balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen;
  • Must be willing to travel to the required location;
  • A minimum of Bachelor's Degree, preference to candidates gained Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care;

Responsibilities

  • Providing support for the educator.
  • Monitoring and supervising the children constantly.
  • Assisting the Educator in maintaining a safe and positive environment.
  • Cultivating relationships with children, parents, and guardians.

  • Translate early childhood theory into practical exercises and activities.
  • Promote exploration and learning through play.
  • Support children with emotional regulation issues to learn improved social skills.
